Timothy I recommend the game even without the air component at the moment, is a real winner and will be improved soon.
What we really lack in WCNAW is a strategic part. From my point of view of course.
Hello Timothy:Please, please, please add the cv/aircombat element to this game! That is the only thing lacking which is holding me back from purchasing this game.
WCDB was designed for surface engagements. Air power pretty much eliminated the need for surface engagements, so it would somewhat defeat the point of the game. I highly reccommend WCDB if you want to see what would happen when ships slug it out as they were meant to instead of just being an anti-air platform.
Having said that, though, I think it would be a great addition to allow carrier operations in WCDB, but as a toggle-able option.
Thanks guys for the input. I do own SAS but would prefer to play only naval battles from the tactical end only.
This game looks good but my real passion is to mainly fight carrier battles. Of course I wouldn't mind fighting a few other types of engagements if it was included in the game as well.
Best regards.
This game doesn't need carriers, it's got Battleships! LOL
