I'm running into a problem with my install.

Dell XPS Laptop running WINXP

The install appears to be proceeding fine, then I noticed a message "error creating shortcut" but the message flashes by and then the install window closes, so I can't get anymore details.

So I end up with no shortcut on my desktop and when I go to start--programs-sasww2 I do not have an option to start the program, only selections I have are help, uninstall, and manual.:confused:

I look in the sas-ww2 directory and cannot find the game executable.

any help appreciated

The FAQ might have your answer:

Q: The installer does not show any (or incorrect) shortcuts for SAS-WW2?

This was a slight error on our part as during testing all of our beta testers already had Java, the language SAS is written in, installed. The best way to install SAS-WW2 is to install the Java JRE installer before installing the game. This is presently being corrected for our next production batch.

To install the lastest Java free downloadable runtime either use the link below or install it using the JRE file on the CD;
