It all NWS fault for letting me access the manual before receiving the game:D
Air strikes, does a carrier or an airfield have infinite number sorties or strikes, or is the number governed by the amount war materials at an airfield/port or ammo level in a carrier task force?

To Ron,

A/C ordnance limitations is a good question.. Tony has commented that CV refueling and A/C attritional rates due to damage/readiness/shot down would obviously limit the number of possible sorties. However, I will discuss with Tony and William a possible addition of A/C ordnance limitations in a future upgrade. This would take a good bit of research mind you so as to at least show for reasonably historical numbers but I am definitely putting on our priority topic of discussion list for v1.1.

Thanks.

Update.. the first v1.1 upgrade is now planned to include A/C ordnance airbase/CV logistical limitations. We now also have this topic noted for priority research. Tony is already planning the initial code to add this feature into the engine and I gave him some starter numbers to use for testing purposes.

All registered players will be able to download the v1.1 upgrade when its posted, it should also include a new alternate Med campaign that Tony is also working on right now which will include the French fleet.

Thank you Ron for your supportive inquiries.

Great news, I'm really happy to see a French Fleet scenario !
Any ETA on the patch ? (ok, I've not even received 1.0 yet, but still .. ;)).

First and foremost .. this will not be a "patch". A patch is for fixing a hole in your pants, your tire, or a bug in your code. v1.1 will be an engine and content upgrade, or update if you like. We do not just "fix" our games.. we add value to them. ;)

I would figure about 2-4 weeks for v1.1 at this point. We want to do some collecting of constructive feedback before we finalized the priority list.

Thanks.

Two-four weeks? I won't even have received version 1.0! :(
No, seriously: if there are no fixes to be done, why don't you let us play a little longer, so we could come up with feedback that is based on solid ground?

Cheers

To HB.. SAS-WW2 will be around for a long time.. so plenty of time for more upgrades after v1.1. ;)

Ok.. let me clarify on this ..

The v1.1 upgrade, at this time as this is preliminary, will be mostly driven towards fixing any verified bugs that are found, A/C ordnance logistics, and if time permits - the alternate Med Campaign addon.

Now Tony notified me that it might take a little longer to wrap up the new campaign he is working on so it may be a little longer then my first estimate.

As to special requests.. we will likely aim for discussing those for v1.2 so we can get a good idea of what players will be asking for once everyone that has ordered so far has a chance to give the engine a good run. This will also allow us time to compile a detailed list of requests, prioritize certain items, and then determine an estimated time frame for completion and proper testing.

I will be quite clear.. every time line we offer is an estimate but we do not lock ourselves down to a time slot or make a certain date a priority over doing things right.

Believe me, we are as excited as all of you and we do plan on buildiong on the SAS engine and the constructive feedback will also be used to see where the engine can be improved on for the WW1 edition due out around later this year.

Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions. :)
