firstly wow ! - i have now managed to skim through the manual and admit I am a little daunted -guess the 2IC will be managing most of the activity to start.
Couple of brief questions
1) to follow up what someone else asked could the ship characteristics be produced as a download as will help in ship design to have a complete comparitive list.
2) my alternate history (gb & dutch vs France) will require a BEF in the low countries - what ports are there in Belgium/Holland ? My thoughts are that the land warfare could be handled using TOAW or I can just cheat and say that it is a 'stalemate' on land and a mainly naval campaign with the GB player on responsible for keeping the BEF fully supplied.

Millsy I'm looking forward to play your campaign as I'm currently creating one for Il2 :D.
Hope you can share with us, also If you create something for TOAW will like to try it

Millsy:
A1: We've said we will look at doing this - just a matter of scheduling it
A2: There are no dutch or belgian ports on the Atlantic Map, sorry. I can add ports to maps but we don't want to be doing this willy nilly, so we'll probably take stock a little down the track.
Cheers

oh well - may need to do some rethinking on how I can workround the lack of any Dutch/Belgian ports.
What about dunkirk ?
I guess the anglo dutch could push just over the border if that is a port i can use ?
Sorry to ask and not expecting additional ports to be added !

There are at least two German ports on the North Sea shore - you could use and re-name one of those. Wilhelmshaven, for example, is about 40 miles east of the border, 200 miles east of Rotterdam (a major Dutch port); Hamburg is another 50 miles or so further east.
Itīs not quite right, but probably close enough for a work-around. In any forum with less educated and knowledgeable people than this one, I would have said that only locals would notice the difference anyway - here, on the other hand, I sure people would notice if you tried to sneak it past them.

I will be starting up the registered SAS players forum sometime this weekend so keep your special requests handy. Once the forum is open I will start a thread for special requests and we will keep them noted for possible consideration when we post future SAS upgrades.
Thanks.

No problem at all. The entire SAS engine was intended to be upgradeable through the constructive feedback of the players who enjoy playing it. We are looking forward to it. :)

thanks - that would be wilhelmshaven that the Germans were fortced to lease to Britian as part of the WW1 peace treaty then....... (slight rerwrite of history but it is my AH !) anyway although further to sail is further out of bomber range.
