Fyi, if you design a new ship that you think is funky and want to share your brilliance, you can describe the entire ship design very simply because every ship design is essentially a set of values for a small number of variables.
Let us say you design a new small battlecruiser of less than 30000 tonnes, with 8 * 12'' guns, a 10'' belt, 33 knots, maximum range and average strength.
The design factors could be described simply as :'13113355'. (You will see this in the ship designer)
The actual F/L tonnage would be around 29000 tonnes, give or take a bit (the 'bit' depends on who is building it and their construction technology). As a German player, you might name the design 'Kleiner Schlachtkreuzer'.
To tell someone else, just indicate you have come up with a new design of type 'Battle', called 'Kleiner Schlachtkreuzer", with factors 13113355.
