Richard, there are a range of ways to get into the game:
i. The best place to start is with the 'How to play a turn in 5 minutes' tutorial, which is available in 3 places: in-game; as a separate html web page called quick help that you can access from your start menu; and very soon, we will be making it available as a downloadable pdf from the web site.

ii. As you play more, you can progressively take more control, at your own speed, by selectively taking things over from your automated 2IC. How to do this is also explained via in-game help (a fully indexed manual as well as context help for all major screens); and very soon via a downloadable pdf full manual.

We have put a lot of effort in our design into making this very playable, allowing you to concentrate on just the bits you want to do or feel capable of handling, without sacrificing the overall big picture you get of all the action. This is achieved via the unique 2IC function, the extensive hyperlinked in-game help files, the ability to run (and re-run) the turn at a speed of your choosing, and the concentration in the design on the things we thought would be of most interest and importance. Some logistical things have been simplified but the strategic, operational and tactical command decisions are never compromised.

Our philosophy with computer games is to use the power of the computer to give you realistic and complex challenges whilst simplifying the control aspects. We hope that you will not be dissapointed ;)

Sorry Crocky - I don't have any copies myself yet (got the source code though he he)

Congrats to Sth Africa! I like to be fair minded - their win was a long time coming. Looks like the Aussies are headed for leaner times. I guess like all things, our fortunes are due to wane for a while, as the talent pool is regenerated.

To be honest, a little kick in the pants for our all conquering slightly arrogant cricket team probably is a good thing.

Cheers, and have a great Christmas!
