Will the game simulate in some way land operations (i. e. *after* landings)? Will troops be able to move towards an objective on land or do they have to land exactly in the target hex?
(e. g. if the Italian/German player wants to capture Alexandria in the Med, can he stage a Rommel-like land offensive, obviously at some level of abstraction [no combat resolution, I imagine, progress being only a factor of the resources the two players put on the land theatre], or will he have to land his Afrika-Korps directly on the spot [which would be totally unrealistic]?)

Cheers

(besides, December approaches... Any good news?)

HB, yes, troops can move on land, and the computer AI can synchronise this with the arrival of amphibious troops - in fact at the moment that is the only way trooops can move on land - as part of a combined operation that your 2_i_C sets up for you. Down the track, the control of troops maybe something we add more options to, but no promises - SAS is mainly a strategic simulation of the war at sea, with land operations being considered important only as they affected naval operations. You have complete control over setting up amhibious ops; it's just the land armies that you don't.
