Hey Guys,

A few years ago I bought a few older SSI games from Chips & Bits that were on sale for 9.99. Both games Fighting Steel and Panzer Commander both game with just the CD in a paper sleeve, no box or manual, and when I emailed Chips & Bits they said they bought this stock of disks when SSI went belly up, thus the reason for no box or manual.

Ok, After I install the game (Fighting Steel) what patch/patches do you recommend, and where can I find a manual I can print out if possible?

Panzer Commander looks and plays crappy compared to games like Panzer Elite...so I could care less about this title.

Thanks,

Von

Panzer Elite as far as I remember was a huge downstep in realism from Panzer commander, so I wouldn't just throw that game into the bin. I think you can check with Google for the patches for PC.

For FS however it is recommended that you install the v10.43 unofficial patch on the vanilla version. You don't need any patches. You can find it with the game manual and others in the top sticky thread.

Thanks buddy!

I have the Panzer Elite Special Edition and the modding community, mods, etc, are just excellent and really is a much better game in my opinion, but I never saw the vanilla Panzer Elite that I heard needed alot of work when first released. Panzer Commander I played for a few days and it just was not much fun.
