In regards to the problem some people ...me included have been having with thier ships not having the appropriate sensors....and as a result weapons not tracking....I've figured it out.
Most people have been assuming its a database issue....ie the sensors and platforms not meshing up, but in actuality its 100% a problem with the .exe
I figured it out when Mike sent me a copy of his (functional) Fleet Command install and I was unable to run it. (fatal error)
Just for funsies I replaced his .exe with my v19 exe and while the program ran it still had the sensor issues.
Sensing a breakthrough I went back to my old XP machine and copied the v18 exe and dropped it into the v19 install on my Vista machine.
VOILA!! Everything works fine now.
I still cant get subs to respond to commands, but all platforms have their appropriate radars and SAMS and SSMS will track and explode as they should.
To reiterate...Im using the same old DAtabase and Doctrines from my v19 download, but replaced the .exe with an older v18 that I had on another machine.
Thus the sensor issue is in the .exe.:p
Now if somebody can figure out this stupid submarine issue.
