OK I think I have asked this a few years ago :)

Both machines are LANNED and have fresh installs of 18.3. When we load up a multiplayer game his machine states we have different databases? So I copied all my files into his directory (this has worked on many other games in the past) same error. Any ideas. I installed the re released version of FC and even deleted all the doctrines, scenarios and data bases. And then applied 18.3. Both machines play fine in single player.

Ok where did I screw up.

2nd Query. Can one just take a single player scenario and rename and save as a MP game and then play if both mahcines have the new MP scenario in their directories?
Where are all the interesting MP scenarios?

Thanks

Something is different between the two db's. I'm not sure if FC checks all the db files or just one or two files. You need to make sure that the seven db files in ../Fleet Command/Database are the same size and have the same creation date.

Ok will check them out individually. Thx

Oh Can I convert SP scenarios to MP scenarios just by re saving them as an MP scenario?

Thx

Ok everything loads fine but I find the non host machine always seems to crash within 5-10 minutes depending on the activity. I have noticed this for years. I come back every once in a while. Any idea guys on what could be causing this. I would like to fix it this time. I usually use a larger sp scenario and then save as a MP scenario. Never works for long.

I understand that MP has worked for years.........hmmm

its a good idea to turn off everything running in the backround except essential programs. Have played MP quite a bit and other stuff running seems to cause problems

Well I have installed 18.3 on 4 different machines. All work fine in SP. However I often get data base errors on some or crashing in MP on others. How can I get data base errors when I do fresh installs of the programs. Oh well will have to keep trying. Must be missing something.
