If you want to accurately paint your naval miniatures then here is the book for you.

It is Clash of Arms Painters Guide to WWII Camouflage by Patrick Hreachmack.
This book has everything from types of paints from various companies that match the real colors that were used. It also has drawings of various camo styles of the USN RN IJN and several others.

John:

The various Squadron Warships in Action books also have color illustrations of the ships in question in camo schemes and usually give the FS codes for the colors used for each scheme, at least for US ships.

It also has examples for other navies as I stated earlier.

Hi,

It's a great book, but the promised second volume has never appeared as far as I know. The patterns have been simplified, but look great on my 1:2400s. For you paint chip mavens, don't forget that the IJN had four shades of gray depending on the dockyard they were refitted in.
