It's interesting to note the differences between the CBO's costs and the Navy's costs for certain programs. I was a bit confused when they mentioned the Zumwalt class DD and then the DD(X) as I was under the impression that they were one and the same and to be armed with the new Advanced Gun System. It's possible the Zumwalts will act as technology demonstrators for the DD(X) class.
