View Full Version : Cover scans of WW2-era "Our Navy" magazine

One of my great uncles served on destroyers in WW2, and when I was in high school, he gave me several back issues of Our Navy magazine dating from May 1944 to February 1946.
Surprisingly, my folks didn't throw them out when I left to join the Navy, and returned them to me many years later. Most are in pretty good condition, a couple of them less so. You can see the covers at the link below:

I think so. When I have time, I'll go through them and scan any articles related to the battle or ships that fought in it.

I also get a kick out of looking at the old ads, particularly the cigarette ads. or the one asking those leaving the service "if they wanted to make $9,000 a year."
