If it's not a digital download, will there be a boxed copy with a printed manual? I kind of like the Matrix model where you can get one, the other, or both.

A DVD case edition will be published for certain, a printed manual is still in question however as having printing companies involved can cause a lot of problems with production times and keeing games in stock and ready to ship.. believe me, Matrix found this out also several times over. It is not as simple as many make it sound. The other problem is the cost of printing which is nowhere as cheap as it used to be.

That option is always a part of our designs. ;) When SAS is released we will be posting the full PDF manual for download for everyone to read over also.

PDF rules, not just yet.. we are still deciding on a full rules PDF (note that SAS will have extensive built in help dialogs) or a detailed starter PDF guide for free download.

Game release.. getting closer by the day. Beta testing is going well so far. Sometime this month or July is our best estimate. Our top priority however will be a solid design before we will consider releasing it and all of our beta testers have to report in positive and professionally written reports before v1.0 is finalized. SAS is being beta tested using a very strict, regimented, and detailed process.

I have yet to see this anywhere, but have you ever posted the system requirements? My system is a little older and I am looking forward to this game very much and want to be ready.

If you can run WinXP or Vista reasonably well then you should not have much a problem with SAS since it is a turn based wargame. We are estimating the minimum to be 1.5GHZ and recommended to be 1.8GHZ dual or 2.8GHZ singe core. 512MG to 1GB RAM. The processing will only be required for the speed of handling the game turn calculations and AI.
