Is there anything like the ship builder or editor that allows you add new aircraft?

Hello,

You cannot design aircraft in SAS, only ships.

We do however include many advanced or post-war aircraft models in SAS, including some that never saw service. Considering that there are over 450 aircraft models/sub-models included with SAS you will have a rather wide variety of aircraft show up in the game.

SAS was originally designed to be a theater level naval campaign wargame with the added ability to design naval units. There have been discussions regarding adding more construction possibilities of other types of combat units however.. no promises but this engine had enormous potential so you never know what might happen after the initial release. ;)

I'm sorry but no. There are hundreds of aircraft included in the database however and as noted previously there have been discussions regarding adding construction engines for other weapon systems - including aircraft.

I wasn't looking for a aircraft builder just to see if there is any way to add new aircraft types. I'll wait to see what types are already in the database.

No, you cannot add your own aircraft. You can always request aircraft that you feel deserve to be included however. Thanks.
