Yea, alcohol, gourmet food and smoking killed him. Something to be said for vices. Maybe that should be our secret weapon. How about sending Assad a case of Gentleman Jim, Paula Deen and case of Camels. :)

Cheaper than an MOP and the Batmobile to deliver it.

Very sad for the family and the people that like him, it could be a good thing him dying and also it could be a real bad thing! For example (I know it’s only a game) but what happens in HomeFront could happen for real, its not likely but you never know.

Forgive me for not shedding any tears over him, but he did sort of starve between a quarter million (official DPRK figure) and 2.5 million (international estimate) of his own people to death while guzzling shark-fin soup and otherwise living the good life. The only downside to his passing is that where North Korea is concerned, it's like Clark Griswold exclaiming "Worse? How can it get any worse?"

One of the issues with a new leader, especially one that has inherited the position, is that he must prove his worth and toughness to the military leaders. He might feel that he must create a situation and prove himself. The problem with this is whether he can move the situation to the brink and then move back from it. If he can't, the region is in serious trouble. The ROKs and the US must keep their eyes on this sort of brinkmanship.

There's some speculation that the ROKS Cheonhan sinking and the shelling of Yeonpeyong last year were for those reasons.

The friendly forces in the south had better be on the lookout for another saber rattling by the kid. He's not finished proving himself yet.
