Another Flying Tiger is gone. Dick Rossi passed away on April 17th in Fallbrook, California from Pneumonia. Enclosed is an article Mr. Rossi wrote about his experiences. He is credited with six kills in one day. There are now only four AVG pilots left.
Fallbrook is north of San Diego, btw.

Dennis:
Thanks, excellent material. You know what strikes me the most, was his determination at all costs to secure and education and to get a job. His pre-war experiences and willingness to hitchhike 20 miles to school speaks for itself. Then taking a merchanr sailor's job and still taking courses shows how much a college education was valued in those days. Thank God for the GI bill which gave so many similar men chances for a college education. Of course that bill was paid for in blood and sacrifice. Truly the greatest generation.
