Hi folks, I'm a newbie to the NWS games. Just bought WC:NAW today, had a very brief stab at a couple of randomly generated encounters, need to spend some time getting used to the naval terminology.
I was wondering, has anyone, or is it easy enough to create a scenario with the WWI vessels HMS Hogue, Aboukir and the Cressy in it (obviously not facing up against a German U-boat), but perhaps facing the appropriate rival vessels for the time.
The reason I have an interest in this simulation, is because my Great Grandfather served (as a Stoker) and died on the HMS Hogue in 1914 (when it was sunk along with the Aboukir and Cressy by a single U-boat). I was very much excited to see the Cressy in the list of WWI vessels, but a bit dampened by the fact I couldn't run a simulation conflict with the Hogue in it.
Anyway, I hope to become much more familiar with WC:NAW and give it a good play through, and who knows perhaps I'll get to play out a battle with my Great Grandfathers ship after all?
