Hi:

I was visiting the Osprey book website and found a link to a site that is publishing a series of naval games. The title is "Naval Thunder; Battleship Row" and it appears to be a miniatures based game. The releases show an uncanny resemblance to NWS series of Dreadnought Rising and Battleship Zenith. Anyone familiar with this company and the games?

Never heard of them. I just poked around on their web page and in their forums. The names and theaters covered do parallel the NWS games closely. There were no rules or photo's of the game charts or anything I could find in order to get a closer look. Wish they showed a bit more than they did, it'd be interesting to see their take on things.

Kyle:

Sounds like its a new venture for Osprey like their new 15mm miniatures wargame system. How's it going old friend?

The more wargames the better. I'd like to see some of the 'young uns' get involved in them. It seems that they're all for the consoles and computer games and that old board games may be a dieing breed.

I'm well, new home to play with and is taking much of my time (and money!).

Hi Kyle:
Homes, whether new or old all take time and money, trust me. We are scheduled to have laminate flooring installed in three rooms including my playroom next week. So, it will be expensive and busy. However, once completed that will be it. No more carpets to clean, dust mites, etc. They are also cooler. We are also getting the rooms painted. It never ends, I just removed, in December the old solar system and water heater, installing just a better water heater to reduce plumbing and costs. Sometimes you think that these homes are just blackholes for money. After the housing bubble collapsed, I was all but certain of that.

One suggestion. Don't view your home as an investment. It isn't. It is your home, no more and no less.
