No wait... I didn't get it. Where's that FC-XP.exe file mentioned in the manual that's supposed to be used to install FC automatically? I don't see it anywhere in the forums...

Edit: Ah never mind. I found a backup copy on my old computer. I'll post again if any problems come up. Vista is bound to give trouble at some point

Yeah I managed to get it installed, and it's painfully unstable. Oh well, I really just need it to run for at least a few seconds so I can see what my models look like.

Hey Blimpcommander. What models you got going on there?

The models I'm working on, or the models in the game when it crashes? I'm still working on the airbase, but I can't do much for the next two weeks because of exams. It's about 95% done though, and should be ready soon.

Actually the stability is much better after I set affinity to one of the CPUs on my quad core. Now it's just the screen flickering more often. Oh well, can't have it all.

About the flicking have you try different versions of your graphic card driver? I tried this and it help lower the amount screen flicking. Also try setting the Set Priority to Realtime or High that might help as well.

Another problem I had with Vista was I couldn't get 3D Studio Max R3.1 or 3D Studio Max 9 to work on that dam OS.:(

Wow. I didn't know you were working on the modles that were causing CTDs. Would the Krivak I be one of them?

Oh, no I'm not actually working on them. I could, though, if I have the models.
