Hi,
Just bought WCNAW yesterday, and man that's a great game ! WCDB didn't hook me, a tabletop like wargame with no table was just too weird for me... but now we have a map, it changes it all !
I had a real blast playing a couple random scens, where I even managed to win at inferior odds once (I was just lucky !:p), barely managed to escape Graf Spee from Rio de la Plata, but I had an exhilarating "Norway encounter" game where my KG BCs managed to sink the Renown in a record time, then sunk 3 DDs, and left unscathed ! :D
I cannot refrain from posting a screen of the dying old Renown, attached. :o
Anyway, all my WCNAW were tense and fun, kudos to the team ! The interface/UI could still be improved though, the map could be the main play area, zoomable, giving "on map" information (names, ship states...)... Well, that will be the next game !
BTW, any chances to have TAS updated soon to "link" to WCNAW ? I really enjoyed the "operational" TAS level, but had to quit playing TAS+FS when FS decided to crash on exit (BSOD) after some unidentified graphx drivers/directx update ...
