WCNAW V1.05 PENDING UPDATE LIST. Estimated posting date, 11/20/09 to 11/23/09.
* WW1 RN DD Faulknor number of 4" gun mounts corrected to 6. FP was correct at 4.
* Smoke screen corrections based on ship speeds.
* Disabled ships now shows speed of 0.
* IJN CL Katori, training CR, removed from random battle generator.
* Divisions with more then 2 ships reduced by 2 knots - cohesion doctrine.
* Disengaging/Disabled/sunk ship sometimes showing overlap on TacMap - fixed.
* RMB when asked to "enter targets" sets all ships with no targets to "auto-hold".
* Locked maneuvers/firing will only unlock when enemy ships are detected or initiate gunfire.
* Divisions with ships eligible to disengage are now highlighted on the TacMap.
* Auto-disengage parameters updated. (See updated manual to be posted soon.)
* AI fleet tactical maneuvers corrections and updates.
* Disengaging tag shown below ships selected to disengage.
* AI torpedo attack, gunnery targeting, and tactical maneuver updated.
* USN De Moines name corrected to Des Moines, radar fixed.
* Loaded saved games will start with the MB targeting phase where it left off.
* Corrected scoring system.
* Detection code corrections.
* RM Littorio SB gun correction.
* Speed loss due to battle damage corrections.
* Various ship graphics updated.
* Ship course and torpedo mounts added to AAR.
* Torpedo maximum range added to ship display.
* Division evasion correction.
* Ocean and music sound volume improvements.
* Deck hit vs Belt hit calculation correction.
* Sea state level now shown, and updated, in random battle generator dialog.
* Minor interface dialog improvements.
* Bridge damage will now directly effects crew effectiveness.

Latest news for v1.07,
This is just a starter list, however, v1.07 will include a few additional combat mechanics features;
* Scoring correction.
* RMN VV class 3.5" gun calibre correction
* FMN Courbet class 12" gun calibre correction
* Severity levels for flooding and fires.
* ROF gunnery calculation that will affect gunfire accuracy.
* Shell and torpedo hits adjustments for starting fires and flooding.
* More detailed straddle/hit calculations.

Update.. estimated release time frame for v1.07 is around 2/20-2/27.
Presently working on several advanced combat mechanics updates, the USN WW1 database (graphics are done), and beta testing.

Hi everyone.. I am postponing v1.07 until the first to second week of March. Real life and admin duties have slowed me down a bit. I also want ample time to test the updated advanced gunnery combat code being worked on right now. Stay tuned as this will be a fairly large update.

Latest news... the WW1 USN ship graphics and database entries are now finished. We will be testing each of the new ship classes shortly. Next I will be working on the updated advanced gunnery code calculations we are adding to the engine. Sorry this is taking a bit longer then expected - however - work is progressing. Stay tuned.

Latest update.. present time line for release is mid April with the v# now set for v1.1 as this will be a larger engine upgrade then originaly planned on. Part of the delay is having to spend time working on company taxes - tax season sucks - and wanting a little family time during the Spring break.
Latest plans for the update,
a) USA WW1 database - finished
b) Updated gunnery combat mechanics - working on this now
c) The addition of "engine rooms" for all warship classes for increased damage modeling detail - working on this now.
d) More detailed levels of flooding/fire severity - finished.

V1.1 progress report..I am back coding again after a short break.
We are adding the new data for each ship class that will part of the updated advanced combat mechanics mentioned previously. The USN WW1 database is now "activated" for beta testing once the new combat data is done being entered. I am now working on the new combat code and then we will begin final beta testing.
Rough estimate.. around 1-2 weeks for completion. Feel free to post questions on our open threads.

* Sustainable rounds per minute per gun battery added to the database.##
* Number of barrels per gun mount now added to the database.##
