Hi all. I have been slowly working on the customizable airbase. There's a preview attached if anyone wants to see it.

Now I have a question: realistically, where are helipads usually located within a single runway airbase like this one?

Your new Airbase looks real nice, BlimpCommander it will be great to have that base in FC. :D:)

About the helipads locations I would have said near to the start of the runway, but I guess I will be wrong.

Wait... I know! I'll make the helipad separately from the airbase so it can be placed anywhere by the mission designer! Yes... customizability is the intention of this airbase in the first place. All right, back to work for me!

Not currently working on anything else, but my quene list looks something like

- This airbase
- 2 runway airbase
- That Little Rock you requested from before
- Some fighters. Maybe a more detailed Eurofighter, Raptor, F-5 Tiger, and the IDF for ROCAF.
- Naval port, maybe
- Infantry

If I manage to get through all this, I'll take more requests

Hey guys. The airbase is complete!

The runway is about 3000m long, and to prevent clipping with ground I had to raise it height to 35m above ground. Even so, there might still be some clipping problems, depending on how steep a hill you put it on. You can see runway lights at night and when destroyed, it leaves a crater in the middle of the runway.


Anyways, who do I give this to? Is Mike D still working on NWP?

Nice work BlimpCommander, your airbase looks great, as far as I know Mike D is still working on NWP I think. I email a month or two ago but I have't had any reply as yet. :confused:

I can try the airbase for you if you like. :)

Just a little question do you convert your model's to .J3D, do you use 3D Studio MAX R3.1?

Yes I use Max 3.1, but not on Vista.
