Greetings!

I'd like to ask a couple of noob questions. Haven't had time to get any serious hold of a game so far... Just being busy (an universal excuse for lazyness :p).

1. Is it possible to launch a strategic bomber strike on the enemy port? If yes, then how?
2. Is it possible to abort mission and order task force to return to port at any given time?

Don't kick me too hard. :)

Thanks!

1. Any airbase can launch a strike on another land target if in range and if the target is included in the target prioritization box part of the airbase strike list. Note, you must have enough assets for the engine to consider such a strike to be made available.

2. v1.04.2 will include new RTB orders that can be given to any TF with the list of ports available. v1.04.2 update is due out very shortly. v1.04.1 at present, the TFs will return to base if ordered at the end of each turn resolution or if the TF is running low on fuel or has damaged ships - also known as EFs. v1.04.2 will allow a far greater level of command on such orders *during* the turn resolution.

What exactly do you mean saying 'assets'? Airplanes? Something else?

Assets, in your case, would be aircraft with compatible payloads and mission capabilities and any required escorts. Target CAP/AAA is also taken into consideration.

Is it possible now to abort mission arbitrary due to the lack of ammo after the surface battle, for instance?

Yes, it is. You can do this yourself. And you will also be prompted (if you have tihis option enabled) when the AI wants to do this, and you can tweak what the AI then does, eg choosing other supporting ships, or changing the port destination.

Wow! How? I could not find either of those options. Overlooked in the manual?

In v1.04.2 you can edit the "route" of any group of ships and/or terminate their present orders by left clicking on their icon and then clicking on "route". From there you can order them to any port.

OK, so Tony was speaking about v1.04.2 then?

Correct. Give it a try and let me know if that answers your inquiry.
